Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Manassas, VA is seeking an Equipment Engineer to improve product quality, reliability and productivity across fab processes.

You will set up and optimize wafer fabrication recipes and work to resolve line issues with structured problem solving. You will lead yield improvement, cost reduction and supplier collaboration, while evaluating new equipment and materials to meet design specs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical field or equivalent military experience.
• 3+ years in semiconductor process or equipment engineering.
• Hands-on experience with structured problem-solving methods (FMEA, 8D, SPC) to resolve issues.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize process conditions, technology and wafer fabrication recipes to improve capability and yield.
• Set up and adjust process parameters across semiconductor equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve manufacturing line problems via root-cause analysis.
• Lead yield improvement, cost reduction and productivity projects.
• Qualify new equipment, materials and process baselines to meet specs.
• Engage with suppliers to meet quality, cost and risk goals.
• Explore AI-assisted workflows for current or future processes.
