Job summary

Airtomic Ducting Solutions in Franklin, Indiana, is seeking a Bench Mechanic I to join a high-mix, lower-volume manufacturing team. This entry-level role involves inspecting, testing, cleaning, and prepping aircraft component parts under FAA guidelines, with training toward duct fabrication and repair.

The ideal candidate enjoys problem solving, works well in a fast-paced environment, and can self-direct tasks while maintaining safety as a priority.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Willingness to learn ducting fabrication and repair.
• Ability to pass FAA drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Operate a product clean line.
• Air and water pressure test integrity for tubes, ducts & manifolds.
• Bead blast product as required.
• In-process visual inspection to a check fixture.
• Ensure hazardous materials are properly labeled, stored, handled for proper disposal.
• Polishing and basic blending of product.
• Assist packaging & shipping when production peaks.
• Serve as a backup to deliver parts locally via the company van.
