Job summary

Bombardier in Wichita, KS seeks an Aircraft Engine Technician to inspect and maintain engines and APUs, perform installations, repairs, and tests under manuals and regulations. Qualifications

• Adhere to general work requirements.
• Inspect engines and/or APUs, components and associated aircraft systems and components in accordance with appropriate maintenance manuals with minimal supervision.
• Assist with installation, removal or modifications and repairs of turbine engines, APUs, and airframe systems or components.
• Perform and document work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations as required.
• Assist with engine/APUs and related systems operational checks and functional tests.
• Assist with performing complete engine runs.
• Assist with off-aircraft component repair.
• Ability to effectively communicate in English in both written and verbal form.
• Operate ground support equipment.
• Own and maintain hand tools with the ability to demonstrate inventory and control of tools.
• Ability to operate industrial vehicles and equipment (scissor/boom lift, forklift, etc.).
• Comply with environmental, health and safety policies and procedures. Participate in 5-S activities. Perform work in a safe and timely manner.
• Basic PC skills.
