Job summary

Bombardier in Opa Locka, FL seeks a Lead Engine Technician to inspect, install, repair, and troubleshoot turbine engines and APUs on corporate jets. You will perform engine runs, R&R tasks, and ensure airworthiness per manuals.

Ideal candidate holds FAA A&P license with 8+ years of turbine engine experience, including Bombardier aircraft, and at least 2 years on corporate jets. Day shift, regular status, on-site role at the Learjet facility.

Qualifications

• FAA Airframe and Powerplant License (A&P) required.
• Minimum eight (8+) years aircraft turbine engine line or shop maintenance experience.
• Minimum two (2) years’ experience on corporate jet aircraft.
• Minimum one (1) year experience on Bombardier aircraft.
• Proficient in completing engine R&R’s, borescopes and written reports.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to General Work Instructions and safety policies.
• Inspect engines/APUs and related systems for wear and airworthiness.
• Interpret maintenance history and troubleshoot next steps to return to service.
• Recommend replacement, repair or modification of engines/APU’s.
• Perform installation/removal or modifications of turbine engines/APU’s and components.
• Perform repairs on worn or damaged parts using hand tools and testing equipment.
• Research manuals to perform inspections, installations, and repairs.
• Conduct engine/APU checks and functional tests.
