Job summary

Arkansas Children’s Hospital is seeking a skilled aviation maintenance technician to maintain, repair, troubleshoot, and document airframe and engine systems to ensure airworthiness and FAA compliance. This on-site role is based in Little Rock.

The ideal candidate holds an A&P license with at least 6 years in transport maintenance, and may possess IA certification. Safety and regulatory adherence are central to daily duties in our safety‑driven environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience required.
• Transport experience: 6 years required.
• FAA Airframe & Powerplant license required.
• Inspection Authorization (IA) FAA recommended.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, repairs, and component changes per manuals.
• Maintain work records, forms, and logs.
• Manage AC aviation fuel farm per policy and ensure fuel quality.
• Assist in cleaning aircraft and hangar.
• Notify supervisor of unscheduled maintenance.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with Director of Maintenance.
• Collaborate with manufacturer reps, vendors, and FAA.
• Prioritize safety in all operations.
• Assist in ordering and maintaining aircraft parts inventory.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
