Job summary

Johnson College in Scranton is seeking an Airframe and Powerplant Instructor for the Aviation Technology program. The instructor will conduct FAA 147 Maintenance Program training, including classroom presentations and hands-on activities, using FAA ACS standards and data.

Qualified applicants will hold an FAA Airframe and/or Powerplant Certificate with strong communication and mentoring skills, capable of guiding students and coordinating with the Program Director to ensure compliance and high

Qualifications

• FAA ACS data, handbooks, and FAA regulations knowledge.
• Ability to design and deliver classroom and hands-on instruction in aviation maintenance.
• Strong communication and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Compile and maintain student grades, attendance records, and other paperwork.
• Follow and maintain daily lesson plans aligned with Part 147 certification.
• Provide instruction based on FAA-published data, including handbooks and ACs.
• Administer and grade tests and lab projects.
• Maintain lab equipment and instructional aids.
• Assist other instructors with labs as necessary.
• Promote safety and a positive learning environment.
