Job summary

TRDI is seeking an Aircraft Ground Support Technician to service aircraft, guide pilots on ground, and operate essential ground support equipment. The role requires an FAA A&P license (or DD Form 214 equivalent) and a valid Texas driver’s license with air brake endorsement.

Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain airfield certification and security clearance. The position involves loading/unloading luggage, de-icing, refueling tasks, and strict adherence to safety and DoD/contractual

Qualifications

FAA A&P license or DD214 with similar qualification
Valid Texas Driver's license, class B with air brake endorsement
Ability to obtain and maintain airfield vehicle certification

Responsibilities

Service aircraft and guide pilots using hand or light signals
Drive light truck to escort aircraft and secure with blocks, stakes and tie downs
Operate ground support equipment and replenish fuel, oil, water and waste system chemicals
Document aircraft maintenance records with description of services performed
De-ice aircraft wings and assemblies
Load and unload luggage and cargo with tow truck and carts
Inspect tires and replace defective tires; assist in jacking and towing aircraft
Adhere to safety, quality, and regulatory requirements and report as required
