Job summary

STS Technical Services in Schiller Park, IL seeks an Aircraft Maintenance Technician to perform hands-on maintenance on company aircraft in a line maintenance setting. The role requires an FAA certificated mechanic with Airframe/Powerplant ratings and a couple years of experience; you will work under leads, document work, and ensure compliance with MEL/CDL/NEF when applicable.

Qualifications

• FAA-certificated mechanic with Airframe and/or Powerplant ratings is required.
• Two years of maintenance on large aircraft (747-400 / 777- series or similar) is preferred.
• Completion of an accredited A&P training course may be considered.
• Engine Run / Taxi qualification when requested by management must be obtained.
• Must adhere to safety policies and AMTM guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform and assist approved work with leads during the scheduled shift.
• Ensure completeness of all maintenance documents and records.
• Coordinate activities with lead mechanic or station supervisor.
• Research information and materials for scheduled aircraft work.
• Maintain tool control and housekeeping standards in maintenance areas.
• Enter data and maintain required training per AMTM guidelines.
• Follow approved procedures and pass necessary background checks.
