Job summary

Lincoln Tech on-site at the Marietta, GA campus is seeking an experienced Financial Aid Advisor for continuing students. The role helps students navigate financial aid and supports education goals.

You will conduct appointments, package aid for subsequent years, and provide accurate award packages while maintaining records in the financial aid system. Strong knowledge of Title IV programs and customer service needed.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience with Title IV programs.
  • Extensive knowledge of Title IV programs and regulations.
  • Experience with nonterm and/or clock hour academic calendars.
  • Proficient in financial aid packaging and award creation.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with high detail.
  • Able to obtain and retain Federal Student Aid access (COD/NSLDS).
  • MS Word, Teams, Excel, Outlook proficiency.
  • Campus Nexus software experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct financial aid appointments with active and temporary out students and their families.
  • Analyze student accounts for repack reviews and graduation audits.
  • Package students for subsequent academic years, crossovers, and course failures.
  • Create accurate financial aid award packages and collect required documentation.
  • Provide students with accurate information regarding eligibility for federal, state, or alternative financing.
  • Assist students and families with balance resolution options.
  • Facilitate financial aid exit presentations for graduating students.
  • Support outreach campaigns for timely completion of financial aid forms and renewals.
  • Engage confidently with students in classroom and auditorium settings.
  • Maintain accurate records and update notes in the financial aid operating system.
