Job summary

Southern Company Services is seeking an IT Infrastructure Analyst – F5 Engineer in Atlanta, GA. The role focuses on configuring and maintaining F5 BIG-IP ADCs, ensuring high availability, performance, and security across critical applications.

The candidate will troubleshoot traffic distribution, SSL offloading, and implement application security policies while collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet SLAs and standards.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Computer Science or MIS or equivalent work experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of application and network technologies.
• Understanding of security policies and industry best practices.
• Strong communication and influence to promote standards.

Responsibilities

• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot F5 BIG-IP components and related load balancing.
• Collaborate with customers to translate requirements into scalable BIG-IP solutions.
• Respond to incidents within defined SLAs, including on-call support.
• Perform TMOS, F5OS upgrades and hotfixes.
• Develop and maintain network diagrams and SOPs.
