Job summary

PRATT & WHITNEY, a RTX business, seeks an Integrated Product Team Lead for the F135 Fan Engine Ice Protection System and Actuation IPT. You will own part-level scope, guide the IPT from design through field support, and ensure milestones and program goals are met.

You will lead risk management, reviews, and coordination with customers and senior leadership, while traveling ~10% to support engine tests and validation activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering with 8+ years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in Manufacturing, Military, Logistics, Aerospace, or Aviation industries.
  • U.S. citizenship is required to access information under this program/contract.

Responsibilities

  • Owns part-level ownership for the CIPT, communicating proactively and managing risks.
  • Lead IPT to identify, manage, and close technical risks with defined action plans and milestones.
  • Guide IPT through technical and program reviews, ensuring deliverables meet standards.
  • Manage IPT budgets and schedules, monitor baselines, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
  • Track IPT metrics and implement corrective actions to align with program goals.
  • Represent IPT in customer and leadership briefings with concise updates.
  • Provide technical support for validation engine builds and engine tests.
  • Travel approximately 10%.

Job description

At RTX, the world’s largest aerospace and defense company, Pratt & Whitney leads the design, manufacture, and service of aircraft engines. We are seeking an Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead for the critical F135 Fan Engine Ice Protection System (EIPS) and Actuation IPT. Based within the Compression Systems Engineering (CSE) organization, you will be responsible for rotating parts within the Fan module and guiding the team from initial design through field support to deliver next-generation military propulsion milestones.

What You Will Do
  • Accountable, part-level ownership on behalf of the CIPT, ensuring timely communication, proactive risk management, and consistent execution of all assigned program requirements.
  • Lead the IPT in identifying, managing, and closing key technical risks and issues, ensuring each item has a defined action plan, measurable progress, and closure within agreed timelines.
  • Guide the IPT through successful technical and program reviews by setting clear preparation milestones, validating technical content, and ensuring all deliverables meet program standards.
  • Manage IPT budgets and schedules by monitoring performance against established baselines, addressing variances promptly, and ensuring on‑time and on‑budget delivery of commitments.
  • Drive IPT technical and business metrics by establishing measurable targets, tracking performance, and implementing corrective actions to ensure alignment with program goals.
  • Represent the IPT in interactions and presentations with Customers, the SIPT, IPMT, and Senior Leadership, delivering concise, accurate, and timely technical and program updates.
  • Provide technical support for validation engine builds and engine test activities, ensuring required tasks are completed accurately, safely, and within scheduled test windows.
  • Travel Requirement: ~10%
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering and 8+ years of relevant experience, OR Advanced degree and 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience within the Manufacturing, Military, Logistics, Aerospace, or Aviation industries.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
We Prefer
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
  • Aerospace or Turbofan Engine industry experience.
  • Basic understanding of Pratt & Whitney’s Leadership Operating Model (LOM) or similar.
  • Organizational and project management skills (PMP certification).
  • Control Account Manager (CAM) Certification.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence teams in strategic projects and initiatives.
  • Resourcefulness with the ability to find solutions and solve complex problems (both vendor- and customer-facing).
  • Continuous Improvement experience, and/or LEAN, CORE, ACE, Six‑sigma training.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
  • Utilization of Microsoft Office, Solumina, SAP, Teamcenter, etc.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. Compensation packages include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term and long‑term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, employee scholar program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Additional incentive programs may be available based on position level and collective‑bargaining agreements.
