Pratt and Whitney Hot Section Engineering (HSE) is looking for a highly motivated, goal oriented, detail focused engineer to join its team. This position requires demonstration leadership, excellent communication skills, and a command of Mechanical and or Aerospace Engineering foundational knowledge. We are looking for a uniquely talented engineering leader to champion our key transformation shifts and identify new ways to improve project task execution for the F135-ECU Program.
Specific responsibilities will be leading project tasks via the Agile framework for an Integrated Product Team (IPT) consisting of a cross functional group of project, design, structures, and aerodynamic team members. They will need to communicate the status of technical issues, and budgets to CIPT leaders, HSE leadership, internal program offices and external customers. They may also need to work closely with purchasing, suppliers, customer support and the sustainment organizations to support engine deliveries and respond to field challenges as needed.
Hot Section Engineering is responsible for the design, development, technology maturation and in service support of all diffuser cases, combustors, turbines (vanes, blades, rotors and cases), augmenters (military), nozzles and associated fuel systems for all military, commercial and industrial engine models and radial auxiliary power units.
Technical disciplines in HSE include Project Engineering, Mechanical Design, Structural Analysis, Durability and Product Definition.
