Job summary

Omaha Steaks, Inc. is hiring for a Temporary Full-time 1st Shift role in Omaha, NE. You will prepare products for packaging, boxing, labeling, and weight verification to meet product specs.

Responsibilities include inspecting products, operating packaging equipment, stocking supplies, and supporting ground beef processing tasks as needed. A high school diploma is preferred and basic math, reading, and writing skills are required. This is a hands-on role on a production team.

Description

Work Schedule:

• Temporary full-time 1st Shift. Work 40 hours per week. Schedule starts at 6:30am until 3:00pm. Hours are based on business needs.

Essential job duties:

Arranges products for further processing. Performs all duties related to boxing, labeling, and sealing finished product. Ensures box weights and labels are accurate and meet product specifications.

• Visually inspects products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Processes damaged or defective products for rework.
• Performs a variety of support tasks, including operating and assisting with packaging and ground beef processing equipment, arranging steaks, chops, ground beef, and other products on trays. Maintains cleanliness of the work area, replenishing packaging supplies (e.g., boxes, labels), and supporting automated taping and labeling systems.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support production and packaging operations.

Skills and Abilities:

Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Packaging experience preferred.
• CRT
• Labeler and scale
• Tape machine
• Mathematical ability to deal with weights and product counts.
• Ability to maintain continuous mental awareness while performing duties of a repetitive nature.
• Manual dexterity and eye/hand coordination
• Ability to read and write.
