Job Summary
The Host/Cashier performs a dual role serving as cashier and hosting guests. Assigned role changes from day to day depending on business needs. The host/cashier is responsible for meeting, greeting and welcoming guests to the venue. When cashiering, this position is responsible for obtaining proper payment for guest meals. When hosting, this position will ensure guests are seated in a timely fashion by rotating seating to servers in a fair and consistent manner. While performing the duties of this position, either it being cashiering or hosting, the team member is required to have and maintain a positive demeanor and pleasant attitude towards all guests.

Essential Functions
- Ensure compliance with applicable Tribal, Federal, and other laws, gaming regulations, and Kickapoo Lucky Eagle policies and procedures.
- Provide high standards of guest service by listening and responding to guest and team member concerns.
- Greet guests and offer friendly, professional service with a positive attitude.
- Seat guests promptly and fairly, rotating server stations to ensure balanced service.
- Communicate wait times accurately to guests.
- Observe guests and anticipate their needs.
- Process food and beverage orders efficiently through POS system.
- Handle all sales transactions accurately, including credit card processing and receipts.
- Collect funds and handle cash responsibly.
- Address guest issues professionally and escalate to management when necessary.
- Maintain knowledge of menus, promotions, and gaming options, and offer suggestions to guests.
- Verify and enter promotional coupons and house accounts accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the work environment.
- Operate and maintain equipment safely and properly.
- Restock items before shift end.
- Balance cash drawers and prepare bank slips for the next shift, ensuring accuracy and security.
- Maintain a professional appearance and courteous demeanor at all times.
- Promote KLECH core values and MAD skills.
- Secure confidential information and adhere to security policies.
- Complete all required training satisfactorily.
- Ensure compliance with currency transaction reporting and anti-money laundering policies, maintaining accurate records.
- Perform other duties as assigned, with flexibility to adapt to organizational needs.
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience in gaming, cash handling, or guest service preferred.
- Strong communication skills in English; additional languages such as Spanish are a plus.

Preference given to qualified Kickapoo Traditional Tribe of Texas Members and Native American applicants.

- Occasional lifting up to 30 lbs.
Work Environment
- Casino floor and office settings, with frequent walking and standing in smoky, noisy environments.
- Extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Potential exposure to difficult guests and irate staff, various lighting, and noise levels.
- Travel may be required.
Conditions of Employment
- Must obtain and maintain a KTTT Gaming License and pass background checks.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. required.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Reliable transportation essential.
- Compliance with internal policies, regulations, and participation in tip reporting.
