Job summary

Discovery Land Company is seeking a detail-oriented F&B Purchasing Receiver for Homewood Mountain & Lake Club in Lake Tahoe, CA. You will receive, inspect, and document all deliveries, ensure proper storage, and distribute goods to multiple departments.

The role requires at least 1 year in receiving/purchasing or inventory, strong computer skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Flexible scheduling, including weekends and holidays, is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of receiving, purchasing, warehouse, or inventory experience, preferably in hospitality or club settings.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in counting, verifying, and documenting product and paperwork.
• Proficiency with computers and inventory or purchasing software.
• Excellent communication with vendors, chefs, and department leaders.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Receive all incoming deliveries, unpack and inspect goods for quality, temperature, and damage; verify quantities and pricing against PO, invoices, and packing slips.
• Enter receipts into purchasing/inventory system and forward documentation to Purchasing and Accounting.
• Resolve discrepancies such as shortages, substitutions, damaged goods, or pricing errors; process returns with vendors.
• Store perishable items properly using FIFO and proper labeling.
• Distribute goods to kitchen, bars, retail, housekeeping and other departments; fulfill requisitions promptly.
• Assist with inventory counts and monitor stock levels; report low stock or slow-moving items.
• Maintain secure control of high-value items, including alcohol, with restricted access.
• Operate pallet jacks, dollies, and carts; keep receiving area clean and safe.
• Adhere to safety, health regulations and PPE; adapt to business needs.

Homewood is seeking a F&B Purchasing Receiver to join the Food & Beverage Department.**Job Summary:**The Purchasing Receiver will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, and documenting all incoming deliveries for the club, ensuring that goods are accurately checked against purchase orders, properly stored, and promptly distributed to the appropriate departments.
