Job summary

Legends Global seeks a hands-on Food & Beverage Operations Manager to lead daily F&B at Mesa Convention Center, ensuring guest satisfaction, safety, and profitability.

You will plan staffing, budgets, and events, coach staff, and collaborate with culinary teams and vendors to deliver seamless experiences in a fast-paced venue environment.

This on-site role requires leadership and the ability to drive operational excellence across multiple events.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years in food & beverage, hospitality, venue, convention center, catering, banquet, restaurant, or event operations preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Food & Beverage Management, Business Administration, Event Management, or related field preferred.
• 1-3 years of supervisory or management experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of retail POS systems and policies.
• Strong understanding of FOH/BOH, catering, concessions, and event service.
• Experience coordinating large-scale events and high-volume F&B operations preferred.
• Experience scheduling contingent, temporary, or contract labor.
• Experience with event management systems such as Momentus or similar preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the Director of Food & Beverage in planning, organization, financial performance, and daily operation of the department.
• Maintain expertise in systems; participate in Work Orders, BEO, event planning, and operational meetings.
• Manage event operations from setup through breakdown, ensuring seamless execution with staff, clients, vendors, and guests.
• Ensure compliance with alcohol service, food safety, sanitation, workplace safety, cash handling, and SOPs.
• Analyze budgets, forecasts, labor and product costs, ticket sales, and P&L to guide decisions.
• Assist with contracts, policies, procedures, and departmental standards.
• Recruit, train, coach, schedule, and guide team members and contingent labor.
• Conduct inspections and pre-event walkthroughs for quality and readiness.
• Coordinate purchasing, inventory, receiving, storage, and par levels.
• Maintain clean, organized back-of-house areas and enforce standards.
• Troubleshoot operational challenges and collaborate across departments for successful events.
• Complete post-event reports and identify process improvements.
