Job Summary:
Provide friendly, excellent service to every guest who approaches the bar while preparing and pouring drinks for guests and beverage servers, ensuring all applicable laws and regulations regarding the safe and responsible sale and service of alcoholic beverages are strictly followed.
Essential Functions:
- Ensure compliance with Tribal, Federal, and other laws, gaming regulations, and Kickapoo Lucky Eagle policies and procedures.
- Deliver high standards of guest service by attentively listening and responding to guest and team member concerns and questions.
- Maintain a steady flow of service to guests, cocktail servers, and food servers.
- Greet guests upon arrival, use their names during interactions, remember preferences, thank them, and invite them to return.
- Prepare beverages promptly and accurately using approved measuring tools and techniques.
- Process sales transactions accurately and promptly, providing receipts for credit card transactions or upon guest request.
- Monitor the bar continuously to ensure timely beverage service for all guests.
- Comply with laws, policies, and procedures related to the service and sale of alcohol, including verifying guest age (30+), and ensuring responsible service standards.
- Observe guest behavior to prevent intoxication and disorderly conduct.
- Handle guest issues professionally and communicate concerns to management.
- Maintain knowledge of menus, promotions, programs, and gaming options such as Slots, Poker, and Bingo, and share this information with guests.
- Keep the work environment clean, sanitized, and organized, following health and safety standards.
- Use personal protective equipment as required and operate all equipment safely and properly.
- Stock, set up, and break down the service well, and receive stock according to specifications.
- Maintain a professional appearance and a courteous, friendly attitude at all times.
- Perform bar back duties in the absence of a bar-back.
- Record all sales accurately in the POS system and handle funds properly.
- Submit end-of-shift financial reports and receipts.
- Promote KLECH core values and MAD skills.
- Manage and safeguard confidential information.
- Complete all required training satisfactorily.
- Ensure compliance with Federal currency transaction reporting, Title 31, IRS CTRs, SARs, and anti-money laundering policies, maintaining accurate records as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain TABC certification.
- Bartender certification or at least one year of bartender experience preferred.
- Understanding of and ability to accept the risks involved in this role.
- Knowledge of wine and alcohol beverage preparation preferred.
- Strong communication skills in English; additional languages such as Spanish are a plus.

Preference given to qualified Kickapoo Traditional Tribe of Texas members and Native Americans.

- Frequently lift/move up to 50 lbs.
Work Environment:
- Casino floor and office settings, with frequent walking and standing in a smoky environment.
- Variable noise levels, extended hours, and irregular shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Potential exposure to difficult guests, irate staff, various lighting, and environmental risks.
- Travel may be required.
