Provide friendly, excellent service to every guest who approaches the bar while preparing and pouring drinks for guests and beverage servers, ensuring all applicable laws and regulations regarding the safe and responsible sale and service of alcoholic beverages are strictly adhered to.
Essential Functions
- Ensure compliance with Tribal, Federal, and other laws, gaming regulations, and Kickapoo Lucky Eagle policies and procedures.
- Ensure high standards of guest service by properly listening and responding to guest and team member concerns and questions.
- Maintain a consistent flow of service to guests, cocktail servers, and food servers.
- Greet guests upon arrival, use guest names, remember preferences, thank guests, and invite them to return.
- Prepare beverages promptly and professionally according to specifications, using approved measuring tools and techniques.
- Process all sales transactions accurately and immediately; present receipts for credit card transactions or as requested.
- Monitor the bar continuously to ensure timely beverage service for all guests.
- Comply with laws, policies, and procedures related to the sale and service of alcohol; check IDs for guests who appear under 30; ensure responsible service.
- Observe guest behavior to prevent intoxication and disorderly conduct.
- Handle guest issues professionally and communicate concerns to management.
- Maintain knowledge of menus, promotions, gaming options, and provide this information to guests.
- Keep the work environment clean, sanitized, and orderly, following health and safety standards.
- Use personal protective equipment as required.
- Operate and maintain equipment and utensils safely and properly.
- Stock and set up service wells, receive stock, and break down as per specifications.
- Maintain a professional appearance and courteous attitude.
- Fulfilling bar back responsibilities in the absence of a bar-back.
- Record sales accurately in POS system and handle funds properly.
- Complete end-of-shift reports with all financial receipts.
- Demonstrate KLECH core values and MAD skills.
- Manage and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Complete all required training satisfactorily.
- Monitor compliance with currency transaction reporting, Title 31, IRS CTRs, SARs, and anti-money laundering policies, maintaining accurate records.
- Other duties as assigned, with flexibility for organizational needs.
Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to obtain and maintain TABC certification.
- Preferably, at least one year of bartender experience or bartender certification.
- Understanding and acceptance of the risks involved in the position.
- Knowledge of wine and alcohol beverage preparation is preferred.
- Strong communication skills in English; Spanish or other languages are a plus.
