Job summary

Fair Grounds Race Course in New Orleans is seeking a Cashier, F&B to support food and beverage operations. You will prepare items, handle cash transactions, and assist at multiple food stations in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 21+ years old with the ability to obtain a Louisiana Racing License, and prior high-volume service experience is preferred. Flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays is expected.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old and able to obtain a Racing License from the Louisiana Racing Commission.
• Experience in high-volume customer service or food/beverage operations preferred.
• Comfortable handling cash and providing friendly, efficient service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food/beverage items to guests following recipes and standards.
• Operate food stations (sauté, broiler, fryer, ovens, pantry) as needed.
• Read and call tickets to expedite orders and maintain line flow.
• Manage portion control and ensure consistent quality and presentation.
• Organize station and stock areas; rotate products using FIFO.
• Monitor food safety, temperatures, and storage guidelines.
• Assist with other duties as assigned by management.
