JOB TITLE: Cashier
REPORTS TO: Food and Beverage Supervisor
DEPARTMENT: Food and Beverage
FLSA STATUS: Hourly Non-Exempt
POSITION SUPERVISED: None
JOB SUMMARY: The Food and Beverage Cashier will be responsible for conducting cash, check, or credit card transactions in their assigned area. They will also assist in the preparation and delivery of food and beverages to guests. Food and Beverage Cashiers must adhere to local regulations concerning health, safety, or other compliance requirements, as well as brand standards and local policies and procedures.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain customer satisfaction and confidence by protecting food quality, meeting service expectations, and finding ways to please customers
- Serve alcoholic beverages to guests according to standard operating procedures and FLSA
- Receive payment by credit cards, vouchers, or automatic debits
- Offer additional products to enhance the guests' experience at park
- Have awareness of all current promotional offers
- Execute cash transactions efficiently and accurately
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment for customers and other employees
- Greet guests, visitors, and employees in a friendly and courteous manner
- In the absence of guests, maximize his/ her work shift by consciously finding activities that will help maintain the standards of their assigned work area
- Provide excellent customer service and help provide guests with accurate park information. Answer guest questions concerning the park
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, rules, regulations, standards, guidelines, expectations, and requirements
- Assume additional responsibilities as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience: Experience with general knowledge of resort operation preferred. 6 months of general knowledge of restaurant operations preferred.
- Certification/Licensure: Food Safety Certified Preferred.
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Ability to troubleshoot situations without delay and act accordingly
- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Must be able to work varied shifts, including evenings, holidays and weekends
- Must be able to maintain positive, respectful relationships and work effectively with all internal and external constituencies, including employees, community leaders and senior management
- Must have highly developed interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including presentation skills; ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and persuasively
- Must have a proactive, goal-oriented, can-do attitude. Positive and effective customer service skills
- Must have good cash handling skills
- Ability and willingness to up-sell products and services
- Must have good teamwork orientation

- The team member may be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time.
- The noise level is generally moderate to high.
