Job summary

The Boeing Company, Belle Chasse, Louisiana, seeks an F/A-18 Ordnance Technician for 1st or 2nd shift onsite at NAS JRB New Orleans. The role supports ordnance maintenance, inspections and flight operation activities at the facility.

Expect 5+ years of fighter aircraft maintenance, ability to lift 35 pounds, and willingness to work variable shifts in outdoor environments with exposure to noise and fumes. Relocation options may apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in military fighter aircraft maintenance.
• Able to lift up to 35 pounds.
• Willing to work days, evenings, nights and weekends.
• Experience reading and interpreting technical publications, safety rules, operating instructions and procedure manuals.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather with exposure to noise and fumes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain aircraft ordnance and related equipment.
• Remove and install ordnance components and gear.
• Conduct daily, pre/post-flight and periodic inspections.
• Perform flight operation activities including plane captain duties.
• Assemble, disassemble and modify aerospace vehicle components.
• Oversee assembly, disassembly or overhaul tasks.
• Configure aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment.
• Troubleshoot complex ordnance systems to isolate faults and repair.
• Document procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Verify repairs for flight worthiness and support training.
