Job summary

Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Field Sustainment (AFS) is seeking a Depot modifications sheet metal/structures technician for our F-35 program at Woensdrecht Air Base, Netherlands. You will deploy from your location to support Netherlands National Air Vehicle Depot operations and work with MUO Operations teams.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience reading engineering drawings and using precision measuring tools, plus a background in fabricating detail parts and performing assembly

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years F-35 aircraft Sheet Metal/ Structures experience.
• Must have held a 5 or 7 Skill level USAF AFSC, Navy NEC, or Marine MOS discipline rating or an equivalent Airframe and Power Plant, FAA certificate.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, structure repair manuals, and notes.

Responsibilities

• Bonding practices, layouts, and locating parts for exacting fit and maintained contours; select efficient fabrication methods.
• Verify installed LO materials for conformity and estimate time for repairs.
• Set up and operate material testers and mixers.
• Record data and procedural information for future use by others.
• Fabricate shims, brackets, and plates; perform trimming, drilling, riveting, and finishing operations.
• Maintain safe, clean, FOD-free work area.
• Work authorization: US citizen; facility requires special access; Interim Secret Clearance required.
