What You Will Be Doing:

This position will serve as a Low Observable Coatings/Structures subject matter expert for nose-to-tail maintenance operations on the F-35 as part of a dedicated maintenance team located in Leeuwarden, Netherlands. This position is designed to aid our Dutch customer with repairing and returning their aircraft to an airworthy condition with the goal of increasing aircraft availability across the gamut of operations. The selected candidate must be a self-starter, possess the ability to make timely decisions, and be willing to learn all facets of the nose-to-tail maintenance concept of the F-35 aircraft while supporting maintenance and operational requirements. Additionally, this position may be utilized to augment the Aeronautics Field Sustainment training team in the support of training operations on site. This position will be part of the larger Integrated Contractor Support (ICS) infrastructure at an existing F-35 site.

Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access and an Interim clearance prior to start and maintain an Interim/Secret clearance throughout the duration.

Physical Requirements

This may include certain military required health screenings and immunizations. This position regularly requires to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive movements, work overhead, use hands to grasp, handle, and/or feel, reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, and twist. Confined Space Entry. Position may also require extended work hours.

Basic Qualifications

• Must have 2-years of hands-on F-35 maintenance experience to include working experience and knowledge of Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS) to include, Anomaly Fault Resolution System, Customer Relationship Management, Joint Technical Data Navigation, Portable Maintenance Aid (PMA)/Maintenance Vehicle Interface (MVI) activities, Configuration Management and forms documentation and supply chain management activities.
• Must have Low Observable Coatings/Structures maintenance experience.
• Requires minimum of 4 years hands-on working experience in 5 or 7-skill level USAF AFSC, CDI/CDQAR Navy NEC, or CDI/CDQAR United States Marine Corps, or equivalent on Fighter Attack Aircraft.
• Knowledge of Safety, Tool Control, Foreign Object damage (FOD), Supply, Hazardous Material (HAZMAT), Quality, and Security programs.
  

Desired Skills

• An FAA aircraft and Power Plant Mechanic license is desirable.
• Proficiency with LM’s F-35 Nose-to-Tail maintenance concept.
• Experience identifying and remediating corrosion in aerospace metals.
• In-depth knowledge of and experience with aircraft structural maintenance to include proficiency in drilling, reaming, fastening, shimming, and surface treatment of aircraft structures, panels, and substructures.
  

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $33.37 - $61.92
