Job summary

Boeing at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (AK) seeks an experienced F-22 Aircraft Mechanic to perform maintenance, repair and sustainment on F-22 systems. You will use technical orders, blueprints, and drawings to service electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and engine subsystems.

The role requires hands-on work with coatings, components, and tools, and offers relocation based on eligibility. A U.S.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience with F-22 Low Observable Coatings.
• Experience with Low observable processes.
• Must have a thorough knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting, repair procedures and replacement of parts.
• Must have thorough knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, sheet metal brakes and sheers.
• Must be willing to work variable shifts.

Responsibilities

• Maintains, repairs, and modifies aircraft coating and associated equipment of varying difficulty.
• Maintains and repairs aircraft components including but not limited to flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components.
• Applies comprehensive technical expertise to solve moderate to complex problems by interpreting user documentation such as blueprints or manufacturers' manuals.
• Will be using system theory to troubleshoot various systems.
• Working knowledge of technical publications.
