Job summary

AAR is seeking a Quality Assurance professional to support inspections, audits, and quality control for aircraft maintenance and incoming materials at Homestead Air Reserve Base. You will implement QA programs, prepare reports, and work with SES to analyze trends and DMSMS issues.

Candidate should have a QA background with aircraft experience, read engineering drawings, and be able to obtain a secret clearance. This is a full-time on-site role based in Florida.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of related experience in Quality Assurance.
• Associate's degree plus 4 years of related experience in Quality Assurance.
• High School Diploma plus 8 years of related experience in Quality Assurance.
• At least 2 years of Quality Assurance experience on fighter aircraft in a modification and/or maintenance environment.
• Ability to read/interpret engineering drawings/instructions; system schematics/blueprints; and technical policy/maintenance instructions.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and understand non-conformities as they relate to safety-of-flight inspections, procedural breakdowns, and/or program (process) audits.
• Experience with Quality Management System (QMS) internal audit processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist the QC Manager in preparing ISO 9001:2008, U.S. Government, defense, and customer quality audits.
• Prepare all necessary reports required by customer and staff personnel.
• Operate according to QC program to ensure services are performed accurately.
• Execute the Quality Assurance Program Plan (QAPP) and all quality control operations.
• Collaborate with SES Manager on aircraft/equipment trend analysis and DMSMS issues.
• Manage On-site Safety/Environmental Program and TODO.
• Administer training of the QC team.
• Develop and maintain an effective QC program.
• Conduct detailed Quality Control Inspection (QCI) and audits per TOs, PWS, and SOP.
