Job summary

AAR Corp. is seeking an F-16 Avionics or Electrical/Environmental Technician III at Shaw AFB, SC. The role involves depot-level modification, upgrade, and test of aircraft subsystems, including radar, radio, navigation and power systems.

You will inspect, test, modify and repair avionics and electrical systems, often under demanding, on-site conditions. Responsibilities include documenting tests and results, using oscilloscopes and circuit analyzers, and ensuring airworthiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher with related experience in avionics or electro-environmental maintenance.
• Associate's degree with related experience required; minimum years specified.
• High School Diploma with extended related experience or 7 Level achievement preferred.
• F-16 or F-15 experience strongly preferred; other fighter jet experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Modify, upgrade, inspect, test, adjust, and repair avionics and electrical systems per blueprints/schematics.
• Inspect components for defects and accuracy of assembly and installation.
• Test systems under simulated or actual conditions to ensure airworthiness.
• Calibrate systems to prescribed specifications when required.
• Operate ground servicing equipment to test functionality and air worthiness.
