Job summary

AAR Corp in Eastover, South Carolina, is hiring for an F-16 Avionics or Electrical / Environmental Technician III. Responsible for depot-level modification, upgrade, and testing of avionic and electrical systems, including radar, radio, navigation, and power systems.

The role requires verifying airworthiness and documenting all required records. Qualified candidates will have a degree with related experience or equivalent, F-16 exposure preferred, and the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Qualifications

• Requires degree or equivalent experience in avionics or electro-environmental maintenance.
• F-16 experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance; US Citizenship required.
• At least a 7 Skill Level or equivalent is preferred.
• 5th generation aircraft experience is a plus.
• Microsoft Office Suite skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Modifies, upgrades, inspects, tests, adjusts, and repairs aircraft avionic and electrical systems using hand tools and test equipment.
• Inspects components for defects and accuracy of assembly and installation.
• Tests avionic and electrical systems under simulated or actual operating conditions with test equipment.
• Calibrates installed, modified, or repaired systems to prescribed specifications.
• Interacts with program and customer representatives and on-site personnel.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

Bachelor's degree + 3 years related experience in avionics/electro-environmental maintenance

Associate's degree + 4 years related experience in avionics/electro-environmental maintenance

High School Diploma + 8 years related experience in avionics/electro-environmental maintenance
