Job summary

GMRE is seeking an experienced F-16 Aircraft Technician to lead and perform maintenance efforts, troubleshoot complex systems, and mentor junior staff. You will ensure airworthiness, follow FAA and OEM data, and coordinate with teams to minimize downtime.

You will work in a high-stakes environment, requiring physical capability, clarity in documentation, and a commitment to safety. Previous Level 7 or military F-16 background is strongly valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of F-16 maintenance experience (Level 7 preferred).
• A&P license preferred but not required; military training on F-16 is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of F-16 airframe systems, powerplants, hydraulics, flight controls, and avionics integration.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and perform duties in extreme weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, service, and maintain F-16 aircraft to ensure airworthiness and readiness.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and flight-control systems.
• Perform scheduled maintenance, launch/recovery operations, and component replacements as required.
• Use manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools to assess and repair aircraft discrepancies.
• Document actions in the maintenance tracking system; ensure FAA, OEM data, and company policy compliance.
