Job summary

AAR is seeking a seasoned F-16 Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance operations at Homestead Air Reserve Base, FL. You will direct shifts, ensure compliance with procedures, and coordinate repairs to meet mission goals.

Qualified candidates bring 10+ years in F-16 maintenance, strong leadership, and the ability to interpret technical data and drawings. A Secret clearance is required for this role.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years in aircraft maintenance required.
  • At least 10 years of F-16 aircraft experience and knowledge of Fighter Aircraft Systems.
  • Leadership experience in an F-16 maintenance environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and assign program workloads for shifts of aircraft maintenance, inspection, and modifications.
  • Maintain knowledge of supply procedures, Service Bulletins/Letters and Airworthiness Directives.
  • Use technical data and drawings to locate part numbers and perform repairs.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, overhaul and modify aircraft systems and powerplants per procedures and standards.
  • Possess knowledge of F-16 avionics and electrical systems.

Job description

Summary

The F-16 Maintenance Supervisor plans and directs maintenance operations and ensures policy and procedures are followed to achieve established goals and objectives.

What You Will Responsible For
  • Supervise and assign program workloads as well as duties for entire shifts of workers performing aircraft maintenance repair, inspection, and modifications.
  • Maintain knowledge of supply procedures, and Service Bulletins/Letters and Airworthiness Directives.
  • Must be highly proficient in using technical data and drawings to locate part numbers and accomplish repairs.
  • Must have knowledge of F-16 aircraft avionics and electrical systems.
  • Inspects, troubleshoots, repairs, overhauls and modifies aircraft systems and powerplants in accordance with established written procedures, specifications, and standards.
  • Candidate must be knowledgeable in F-16 aircraft systems operation and maintenance to include landing gear, powerplants, flight controls, disassembly, reassembly, rigging and aircraft movement.
  • Must be able to read and speak English. Comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

What you will need to be successful in this role:

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE
  • Must meet one of the following requirements:
    • A Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of related experience in aircraft maintenance
    • An Associate's degree plus 6 years of related experience in aircraft maintenance
    • High School Diploma plus 10 years of related experience in aircraft maintenance
  • At least 10 years working F-16 aircraft experience with thorough understanding of Fighter Aircraft Systems and Flight Line Operations.
  • Must have leadership experience in an F-16 aircraft maintenance environment.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds to waist level and 30 pounds to shoulder height.
  • Must be able to lift and carry parts, tooling, and other awkward items sometimes weighing up to 50 lbs, including walking up and down stairs, aircraft maintenance stands, and platforms
  • Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching, and bending throughout the workday
  • Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to assure that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
