Job summary

Lancashire County Council is advertising a part-time Teaching Assistant Level 2 at Whitefield Primary School in Preston. The role runs during term time, 31.18 hours per week, 8.50am to 3.30pm (with 8.30am Tuesdays for TA meetings), initially temporary with possible extension.

The successful candidate will support Reception classes, have EYFS experience, planning/IT skills, and DBS disclosure as part of safeguarding duties.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in EYFS and within the EYFS curriculum.
• Planning, organisational and IT skills.
• Experience of supporting children with special educational needs and making reasonable adjustments to meet their needs.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team to provide a safe and caring learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Support in Reception classes.
• Cover an outdoor lunchtime slot as a play team member (30 minutes per day).
• Demonstrate a strong work ethic and flexible approach to tasks.
• Attend TA meetings (8.30am start on Tuesdays).
• Contribute to safeguarding and welfare of children.
