Job summary

Remedy Education is recruiting for an Early Years/SEN Teaching Assistant at a vibrant SEN Primary School in Epping, Essex. The role focuses on supporting pupils with special educational needs and contributing to an inclusive learning environment.

You will work closely with teachers to develop IEPs, monitor progress, and support holistic student development while maintaining safeguarding standards and DBS checks as required.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable.
• A caring, empathetic approach to student support is essential.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities are beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN.
• Assist in developing and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
• Foster an inclusive classroom environment in collaboration with staff.
• Support holistic development: social, emotional, and academic skills.
• Monitor student progress and communicate feedback to teachers/parents.
• Assist with classroom management to maintain a positive learning environment.
