Job summary

Midwest Eye Consultants in Columbus is seeking an Optician to educate patients on lens technology and guide them through eyewear selection, while also handling insurance co-pays and optical lab orders.

You will maintain attractive eyewear displays, manage inventory, and provide friendly, high-quality customer service to foster positive patient relationships. Prior optical experience is preferred and opportunities for certification are available.

Qualifications

• Previous optician or eyewear sales experience is preferred.
• Strong customer service and patient care skills are essential.
• Ability to calculate co-pays and review insurance eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting eyewear and explain lens options.
• Enter orders accurately and ensure timely delivery.
• Calculate insurance co-pays based on eligibility.
• Maintain inventory and display eyewear merchandise.
• Monitor patient flow and communicate delays to teams.
• Provide warranty and adjustment support as needed.
