Job summary

Shopko Optical in Wisconsin seeks a full-time Optical Sales Associate to provide excellent customer service, assist with eyewear selection, and support patient care from fitting to dispensing.

On-the-job training is provided; no experience is required. The role includes processing orders, basic medical billing, and collaborating with the optical lab and optometrist team to ensure accurate prescriptions and timely service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Maintain state license as required.
• Shopko OCE Certification requirements and calendar modules.
• Office or optical dispensing experience preferred.
• Ability to handle multiple customer interactions and calls.
• Ability to analyze prescriptions and assist with eyewear needs and lifestyle dispensing.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer and patient service per standards.
• Analyze patient eyewear needs and recommend lenses/frames.
• Dispense eyewear and perform frame adjustments.
• Assist with contact lenses insertion/removal.
• Support Optometrist with case histories and screenings.
• Process medical billing and order work orders for Lab.
