Job summary

Shopko Optical in Saint Cloud, MN is seeking a Part-time Optical Sales Associate to provide outstanding customer service and patient care. On-the-job training is provided, no prior experience required. You will help patients select eyewear, prepare orders for the optical lab, and assist with billing and inventory.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Maintain license as required by state.
• Shopko OCE Certification requirements and calendar modules.
• Previous office/optical dispensing experience preferred.
• Ability to handle multiple customer interactions/phone calls.
• Ability to analyze prescriptions and lifestyle dispensing.”

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer and patient service according to standards.
• Analyze patient eyewear needs.
• Recommend lenses, coatings and frames to satisfy needs.
• Assist patients in selecting frames to suit style and measurements.
• Order and dispense eyewear accurately and professionally.
• Assist with frame repairs and adjustments.
• Instruct patients on contact lens care and handling.
• Assist Optometrist with case histories and screenings.
