Job summary
Maine Optometry is seeking an Eyewear Sales Consultant/Optician to join our optical department in Standish/Lewiston. You will greet patients, help them select eyewear, take measurements, and ensure a precise fit with proper adjustments.
No prior healthcare experience is required—friendly, detail-oriented individuals will receive comprehensive training. Benefits include health insurance, 401K, and paid vacation as part of our supportive team.
Qualifications
- ABO certification preferred, optical dispensing experience optional.
- Experience in healthcare or customer service is a plus, but not required.
- Training provided for all new hires.
Responsibilities
- As an Eyewear Sales Consultant/Optician, greet patients and guide them through eyewear shopping.
- Take and record measurements, adjust eyewear for proper fit and comfort.
- Review prescriptions, discuss needs with patients and collaborate with optometrists.
- Demonstrate product knowledge and explain features/benefits of lenses and frames.
- Maintain clean, organized frame boards and showroom presentation.
