Job summary

Maine Optometry, P.A. in Brunswick is growing and seeking an Eyewear Sales Consultant/Optician to join our in-person team. This full-time role focuses on helping patients select eyewear, ensuring proper fit, and delivering an exceptional shopping experience.

You will take measurements, explain lens options, and coordinate with optometrists. Training is provided; healthcare or retail experience is a plus, but not required.

Qualifications

• Must be detail oriented and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in healthcare or retail is a plus but not required; comprehensive training provided.
• ABO certification is a plus but not required.
• Knowledge of current optical frame styles and trends.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assist with eyewear selection and fitting.
• Take and record measurements; adjust eyewear for proper fit and function.
• Review prescriptions and discuss needs with patients and optometrists as needed.
• Explain lens options and benefits; compare frames and lenses.
• Demonstrate product knowledge and describe features of lenses and frames.
• Maintain clean, organized frame boards and displays.
• Provide exceptional customer service and help deliver a positive shopping experience.
