Portland Community College is seeking qualified ophthalmic technician instructors to join its Eye Technician Program at Cascade Campus. This Part-Time Faculty Interest Pool is for substitute and regular term assignments as needs arise.

Candidates must hold credentials (COT/COMT or MD with AAO), have 5+ years clinical experience, and be able to assess and guide students while upholding PCC policies. PCC offers a comprehensive benefits package and a collaborative campus environment.

Qualifications

• Strong oral and written communication and the ability to work well with others.

Responsabilités

• Perform all duties of a Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) as assigned.
• Support students by assessing performance of clinical skills and providing feedback.
• Follow Eye Technician Program and PCC policies including FERPA and OSHA.
• Maintain safety and integrity of the laboratory environment and report injuries.
• Evaluate and grade student work and laboratory activities.
• Assist with restocking supplies and inventory.
