Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim is seeking a Director, Senior Clinical Program Leader in the United States. The role provides medico-scientific leadership of clinical programs, guiding evidence generation and regulatory strategy to accelerate development and achieve approvals.

Accountable for risk/benefit evaluation, budget responsibilities, and collaboration with global matrix teams, external authorities, and medical societies. Strong leadership and ethical standards are essential.

Qualifications

• MD (specialist in respective TA) with extensive drug development experience.
• PhD with ten-plus years in clinical drug development across stages.
• Commitment to high ethical standards and patient impact.
• Deep knowledge of Medicine strategy and TA strategy.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of clinical development strategy for designated programs.
• Oversee medical strategy to drive clinical deliverables through development and regulatory milestones.
• Chair cross-functional evidence team and manage project governance with external bodies.
• Ensure data interpretation and presentation across studies with regional input.
• Define medical digital strategy and liaise with Digital Content Manager for tools and best practices.
• Contribute to regulatory strategy and submissions including IND/NDA/MAA discussions.
