Job summary

Midwest Eye Consultants is hiring an Optometric Technician in Barberton, OH. This role supports doctors by obtaining patient histories, performing preliminary testing, preparing exam rooms, and assisting with procedures while ensuring a smooth patient flow and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for eye examinations by communicating the features and benefits of our preliminary testing procedures.
• Perform all preliminary and any doctor requested tests on all patients.
• Assist optometrist and ophthalmologist with patient procedures.
• Coordinate patient scheduling and monitor patient flow throughout the office, properly communicating delays.
• Prepare exam room by cleaning instruments and maintaining inventory of medications and supplies.
• Provide a safe, clean, organized and inviting environment for both patients and staff.
