Job summary

A premier eye care practice in the Missouri Valley area seeks an Optometric Assistant/Technician to join their team. Full-time, Monday through Friday, with hands-on training and support to obtain industry certifications (CPO/CPOA).

Responsibilities include diagnostic testing, patient care, and clinic operations. Compensation ranges from $17 to $19 per hour depending on experience, with equal opportunity employment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; computer literacy required.
• Experience in optometry or optical setting preferred.
• Active CPO/CPOA certification or interest with study materials provided.

Responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostic tests (OCT, retinal photography, visual fields) and gather patient histories.
• Assist patients with eyeglass selection and educate on contact lens care and replacement schedules.
• Prepare charts, verify insurance benefits, and maintain patient information.
• Ensure exam rooms are cleaned, disinfected, and ready for use throughout the day.
