Job summary

Visionworks of America is seeking a Clinical Specialist/Optometric Assistant to help ensure a great patient experience by preparing patients for onsite or remote examinations and conducting pre-exam tests. You will liaise between patients and optometrists and support the initial steps of the patient journey.

The role requires at least HS diploma or GED, and one year of Optical/Healthcare experience is preferred. Training is provided; travel to other locations may be required.

Qualifications

• One year of Optical or Healthcare experience preferred.
• HS diploma, GED or equivalent required.
• Training provided.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and collect medical history and ocular health data in EMR.
• Assist onsite doctor with patient care and eye examinations; explain preliminary testing and document results in EMR.
• Support remote eye exams: pre-testing, remote conferencing, and documenting results in EMR.
