Job summary

Midwest Vision Partners is seeking a Billing Specialist to oversee the billing process for customers, patients, and MVP platforms. You will perform accounting, customer service, and organizational tasks to support the organization's financial health.

The role involves reconciling balances, collecting payments, posting charges and adjustments in Allscripts, and maintaining clear communication with physicians and patients.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding is required.
• Experience in patient billing or ophthalmology billing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile outstanding balances from insurers and patients.
• Discuss open balances with patients and collect payments.
• Maintain accounts with collection agencies.
• Place outbound calls to insurers and patients to resolve claims.
• Post charges, payments and adjustments in Allscripts Practice Management software.
• Communicate professionally with physicians, staff and patients.
• Perform general office duties as assigned.
