EY-Parthenon – Strategy and Execution – Deal Management Senior Manager position in Chicago, IL. Leading engagement teams, directing strategy to maximize deal value, and overseeing integrations, divestitures, and carve-outs.

Hybrid model with substantial travel; base salary around six figures plus comprehensive rewards. Full-time, 40 hours/week, with opportunities to build client relationships, manage risk, and drive operational value across mergers and acquisitions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, CS, Analytics, Engineering, Sciences, Economics, Law, or related field and 8 years of experience (5 progressive) OR Master’s degree with 7 years of experience.
• 3 years of experience in business integrations/divestitures/carve-outs with quantitative and qualitative analysis.
• 4 years of experience in assessments of technology, finance, operations, manufacturing, or supply chain infrastructure.
• 3 years of experience in integration/separation of client operations.
• 3 years in a consulting or professional services firm in mergers and acquisitions (merger integrations, divestitures, carve-outs).
• 2 years of experience in synthesizing approaches in complex integration/divestiture conflicts.
• 2 years of experience in project/engagement management including budgeting and coaching professional employees.

Responsibilities

• Lead Strategy & Operations to prepare and execute merger plans to maximize transaction value.
• Direct teams with diverse skills, coaching and developing staff.

Serve as a Strategy & Operations professional to prepare and execute mergers and acquisition plans to maximize synergies and financial benefits from transactions. Understand the factors that drive successful mergers and acquisitions, and apply knowledge of the organizations involved in a deal to drive operational value. Lead client engagement teams executing Strategy & Operations which support key decision makers in developing and executing their transaction strategy to secure deal value. Advise on all phases and aspects of methodology across integrations, divestitures, carve-outs and other types of transaction engagements. Oversee the identification of integration/divestiture risks and issues and recommend resolutions.

Lead and direct teams of professionals with diverse skills and backgrounds by providing constructive on-the-job feedback/coaching to team members. Develop and maintain long‑term client relationships and networks. Manage risk in the delivery of quality client services. Generate and manage new business opportunities.

Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Analytics, Engineering, the Sciences, Economics, Law, or a related field and 8 years of experience (of which 5 years are progressive, post‑baccalaureate work experience). Alternatively, will accept a Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Analytics, Engineering, the Sciences, Economics, Law, or related field and 7 years of work experience.

Must have 3 years of experience in business integrations, divestitures, or carve‑outs including experience with quantitative and qualitative analysis.

Must have 4 years of experience in conducting assessments of technology, finance, operations, manufacturing, or supply chain infrastructure.

Must have 3 years of experience in the integration or separation of client operations.

Must have 3 years of experience in a consulting or professional services firm in mergers and acquisitions, which includes experience in one or a combination of any of the following: merger

integrations, divestitures, and/or carve‑outs.

Must have 2 years of experience in synthesizing approaches in complex integration or divestiture conflicts.

Must have 2 years of experience in project/engagement management, including managing engagements and engagement related budgets, as well as managing, developing and coaching

professional employees.

Requires domestic and international travel up to 80% to serve client needs.
