Job summary

EY Parthenon is seeking a Manager in Transaction Analytics to deliver data-driven insights for buy-side and sell-side due diligence. You will query data repositories, generate periodic reports, and identify patterns to support client decisions in fast-changing markets.

The role requires 5 years of related experience (3 with Master’s) and strong skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools. Travel up to 50% is expected as client needs arise, with a hybrid working model in place.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Data Analytics, or related field plus 5 years of experience.
• Master’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Data Analytics, or related field plus 3 years of experience.
• 3 years of experience leveraging accounting skills, with 1 year in M&A oriented environment.
• 3 years of experience analysing data for financial due diligence and/or audit.
• 3 years of experience with MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word for data analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Provide data analytics-driven solutions to enhance client decision-making including buy-side and sell-side due diligence.
• Produce financial and market intelligence by querying data repositories and generating reports.
• Identify data patterns and trends in available information sources; build transaction-driven analyses.

Provide data analytics-driven solutions that enhance our client’s decision‑making including buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence. Produce financial and/or market intelligence by querying data repositories and generating periodic reports. Devise methods for identifying data patterns and trends in available information sources. Analyze large and complex datasets and build sophisticated transaction‑driven analysis to help address our client’s challenges in fast‑changing markets. Present findings to clients and leadership in a way that is easily understood by transaction professionals at all levels. Use data to solve complex challenges. Constantly research industry trends and technologies, as well as seasonality and cyclicality on cash flow requirements to provide knowledge and insight to clients.

Manage and motivate teams of professionals with diverse skills and backgrounds. Consistently deliver quality client services by monitoring progress. Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge. Maintain long‑term client relationships and networks. Cultivate business development opportunities.

Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Data Analytics, or related field plus 5 years of progressive, post‑baccalaureate related work experience. Alternatively, employer will accept a Master’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Data Analytics, or related field plus 3 years of related work experience.

Must have 3 years of experience leveraging accounting skills, of which 1 year must be in a mergers and acquisition‑oriented environment.

Must have 3 years of combined experience analysing data for financial due diligence and/or audit.

Must have 3 years of experience working with MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, or other software to perform data analysis intelligence and reporting functions.

Must have 3 years of experience with one or a combination of the following:

• Data visualization: D3js, Tableau, PowerBI, Spotfire, and/or related;
• Data Management: Hadoop, SQL, Alteryx, and/or related;
• Analytics Platforms: SAS, Azure, and/or related;
• Statistical Packages: SPSS, Minitab, and/or related;
• Programming languages: Python, R, and/or related;

Requires domestic travel up to 50% in order to serve client needs.
