Job summary

Admiral Cable's New Mexico plant is expanding and seeks a Machine Operator to set up, operate, and monitor extrusion lines to produce wire and cable products, focusing on insulation, jacketing, and twist areas.

You will adjust temperatures, line speeds, record outputs, coordinate with quality control, handle reel changes, and perform basic maintenance. The role requires rotating shifts, weekends, overtime, and strict safety and PPE adherence.

Qualifications

• PVC material knowledge and extrusion principles.
• Troubleshooting and preventive maintenance understanding.
• Attention to detail and adherence to safety standards.
• Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
• Properly utilize all required Personal Protection Equipment (PPE).

Responsibilities

• Operate extrusion lines to apply insulation material to wires and control temperature, pressure, and line speed.
• Operate extrusion equipment to apply protective jackets and monitor dimensions and surface finish.
• Record machine settings and production output; log deviations.
• Coordinate with quality control for sample testing and verification.
• Assist with die and screen cleaning, lubrication, and basic equipment maintenance.
