JM Eagle is seeking a General Worker in Umatilla, Oregon, responsible for efficiently operating a production line. The role involves maintaining documentation, preparing packaging, and ensuring quality control during production.
Candidates should possess a high school diploma, at least 90 days of experience, and demonstrate the ability to operate forklifts safely. This position offers hands-on responsibilities in a dynamic work environment with adherence to safety protocols.
This position is responsible for the efficient operation of a specific line or work area in the production department.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
High school diploma preferred, must have at least 90 days experience and demonstrate all requisite skill and knowledge of a General Worker with a passing grade to be certified in our JCP Program as a Level C Extrusion Technician.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups (employees or customers).
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Perform all work safely and with the utmost concern for the safety of self and other employees. Maintain designated work spaces in a clean, safe, and timely manner in compliance with the plant’s THM/Safety policy.
The employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel, and to talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; frequently to stand and walk; must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Vision requirements include close and distance vision and ability to adjust focus.
This position is in a plant environment where the employee will frequently be exposed to year‑round weather conditions, fumes and/or airborne particles and moving mechanical parts. The employee may be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. Noise levels are usually loud; personal protective equipment will be worn in given plant areas and when job functions necessitate.
