JM Eagle is seeking an Extruder Operator I to run plastic extrusion lines, perform quality checks, and assist with packaging and changeovers. The role requires attention to safety guidelines and accurate documentation of production metrics.
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will monitor machine performance, adjust settings as needed, and work with a team to meet daily production goals in a fast paced environment.
Operates plastic extrusion machines such as cut-off saws, pullers, pneumatic operated belling equipment, extruders, dies and various pipe testing equipment. Uses various hand tools, micrometers, OD tapes, banders, and wood saws in the manufacturing of rigid PVC pipe.

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt X Exempt

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Demonstration of requisite skills, satisfactory attendance, and safety record.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Have ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organizations.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Have ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
