Job summary

Inteplast Group Corporation in Texas seeks an Extrusion Technician A to oversee changeovers and operate multiple extrusion lines, ensuring safe, efficient production and quality across shifts. This role emphasizes housekeeping, teamwork, and reliable attendance.

The technician will perform TPM, assist with training, and help troubleshoot equipment while supporting production goals and safety standards on a dynamic manufacturing floor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 3+ years of plastic blown film operator experience or a relevant 2/4-year degree.
• Mechanical aptitude required to perform TPM and maintenance.
• Ability to maintain production and quality across six production lines.
• Willingness to train Operator Trainees and identify safety hazards.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all plant safety rules and company policy.
• Maintain housekeeping of assigned area.
• Ensure quality in assigned area including proper QC procedures.
• Oversee production in assigned area and complete production paperwork.
• Fill in as packer for breaks and when short handed.
• Perform product changes and TPM in assigned area.
• Assist with training employees and troubleshooting equipment.
• Coordinate with maintenance on equipment repairs.
• Handle regular attendance and flexibility for non-standard hours.

Job description

TITLE: Extrusion Technician A

POSITION OBJECTIVE: Responsible for change-over and operation of lines within his/her assigned island. Must be able to maintain good housekeeping, safety, quality, production quality, and must be able to work with other employees in assigned team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma/GED is preferred
• 3 year + Plastic blown film experience as an operator or 2/4 year degree related in the field that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of the position is preferred
• Mechanical aptitude
• Must be able to do Process Maintenance
• Must be able to maintain production and quality of 6 production lines
• Must be able to train Operator Trainees
• Must be able to identify safety hazards
• Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
• Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Must have regular, reliable attendance and willing to work outside the regular schedule as required.
• Willing to handle job stress and interact with others in the workplace.

WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION:

• Inside environmental conditions, protected from weather conditions, not necessarily temperature conditions.
• Subject to noise, causing reason to shout in order to be hard above the noise level.
• Subject to vibration, exposure fluctuating movements of the body.
