Inteplast Group in Lolita, TX is seeking an Extrusion Technician A to manage change-overs and operate assigned extrusion lines, ensuring safety, quality and housekeeping across the island.

The role requires mechanical aptitude and 3+ years blown film experience or a related 2/4 year degree. You will train Operator Trainees, perform TPM, and work with maintenance to resolve equipment issues while supporting non-standard hours when needed.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 3+ years blown film operating experience or related 2/4 year degree preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude for equipment and maintenance tasks.
• Proven ability to train Operator Trainees and identify safety hazards.

Responsabilidades

• Adhere to plant safety rules and company policies.
• Maintain housekeeping and quality in the assigned area.
• Oversee production and production paperwork for the area.
• Fill in as packer during breaks or when short-handed.
• Perform product changeovers and TPM in the assigned area.
• Assist with training and troubleshooting of equipment.
• Coordinate with maintenance for repairs and downtime.
• Ensure regular, reliable attendance and willingness to work non-standard hours.

Title

Extrusion Technician A (Req 2466)

Position Objective

Responsible for change-over and operation of lines within his/her assigned island. Must be able to maintain good housekeeping, safety, quality, production quality, and must be able to work with other employees in assigned team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED is preferred
• 3 year + Plastic blown film experience as an operator or 2/4 year degree related in the field that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of the position is preferred
• Mechanical aptitude
• Must be able to do Process Maintenance
• Must be able to maintain production and quality of 6 production lines
• Must be able to train Operator Trainees
• Must be able to identify safety hazards
• Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.

• Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.

Job Responsibilities

• Adhere to all plant safety rules and company policy
• Responsible for housekeeping of assigned area
• Responsible for quality in assigned area including proper QC procedures
• Responsible for production in assigned area
• Responsible for production paperwork in assigned area
• Able to fill in as packer for breaks and when short handed

• Work with maintenance on repair of equipment
• Able to fill in during absence of his/her:
• Sr. Lead Technician
• Work overtime as needed
• Able to do master roll change unassisted
• Able to do additional work as requested by supervisor
• Must have regular, reliable attendance and willing to work outside the regular schedule as required.
• Willing to handle job stress and interact with others in the workplace.

Work Environment Conditions Subjected To In This Position

• Inside environmental conditions, protected from weather conditions, not necessarily temperature conditions.
• Subject to noise, causing reason to shout in order to be hard above the noise level.
• Subject to vibration, exposure fluctuating movements of the body.
