Job summary

Inteplast Engineered Films, Inc. in Prattville, AL is seeking an Extrusion Technician C to ensure continuous operation of production lines, maintain safety and quality, and support efficient manufacturing of film products.

You will troubleshoot and load materials, monitor processes, perform audits, and assist in maintaining equipment. The position requires 1–3 years in manufacturing, good communication, basic math, and willingness to work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Legal eligibility to work in the US.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• 1–3 years in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication with all levels.
• Basic math skills and some mechanical abilities.
• Willing to suggest improvements and take on additional duties when assigned.
• Must be able to work overtime, weekends, and travel as necessary.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and climbing ladders.
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Understand and comply with plant policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
• Conduct safety and quality inspections, report hazards, and participate in safety meetings.
• Ensure availability of all required materials for manufacturing and packaging the product.
• Troubleshoot and maintain the machine, and load/replace raw materials as needed within it.
• Maintain cleanliness of the machine and surroundings and keep equipment/materials neat and orderly.
• Perform and document quality and processing audits to ensure compliance with standards.
• Relieve operators for breaks as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A High School Diploma or equivalent
• Legal eligibility to work in the US
• Ability to speak, read, and write in English
• 1 to 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with all levels of personnel
• Basic math skills and some mechanical abilities
• Demonstrate ambition by suggesting improvements and exhibit flexibility in accepting additional duties as assigned.
• Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary such as overtime, weekends, and travel.
• Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.
• Capable of lifting, pulling, and pushing up to 50 pounds of various sizes and shapes.
• Capable of standing and walking for extended periods of time and climbing ladders or other equipment for cleaning.
